Hey Vault friends! I wanted to check in with you because I don't have a new video to share for next week. Truth is, since returning from my bootmaking trip, I've been thinking about how I can change things up with my channel and overall content.
I've been following a bit of a formula with my posting to ensure the quantity of posting has been as high and consistent as possible. It's beginning to feel wore out for me.
Most of the time, I'm working on 4-5 video projects at a time to make progress on them all so I meet a self imposed deadline to ensure posting consistency.
It's been a good method to get as many videos as humanly possible, but it hasn't been good creatively.
My bootmaking trip resulted in 1.5 terabytes of footage. This is more than I've ever recorded for a single project. I just need time to make an awesome video out of it and I don't feel like I should rush it. The experience was life changing and I want to help share that with everyone.
This is something that I want to apply to other videos too.
That means more time between videos.
I will start posting videos when I feel like they're done instead of one a week no matter what. I feel like I've been rushing many videos to get them out and the formula I've been using has gotten stale and boring for me. It's time to explore again so basically this could mean there's a few weeks between videos or it could mean that there's a video every day for some weeks.
There will be some cross over with my regular video style and new video styles I'm exploring in the next several weeks.
Vault memberes will still get videos a week early and I'll be counting on your help hype it up to everyone else if you really enjoy it!
