Thank GOD it's Stretchy - Wrangler Cowboy Cut Slim Fit with Active Flex Denim

Thank GOD it's Stretchy - Wrangler Cowboy Cut Slim Fit with Active Flex Denim

I tried the Wrangler cowboy cut slim fit jeans featuring their Active Flex denim with eight different cowboy boots and learned that they were much more comfortable to me than their 100% cotton, non stretch, cowboy cut slim fit jeans.

This is a jean that needs to be stretchy. The waist is a high rise and the leg is tapered so the mixture of cotton, polyester and spandex went a long way to give me comfort in movement. I felt like the slim cowboy cut fit I tried previously with 100% cotton just didn't give me the movement I needed which is why I've never been a big fan of the 936 style.

Here are the specs for these Wrangler Cowboy Cut Slim Fit Jeans with Active Flex

I've been having a lot of trouble with slim jeans recently since I've made leg days a priority at the gym over the past 3 years but these did a nice job taking the shape of my legs and living up to the "Wrangler butts, drive ladies nuts" saying.

I purchased my stackable size of a 32x36 and found them to be true to size and for those curious, I'm 6'1" and 190 lbs.

The boots I tried these jeans with were the usual eight different toe shapes and heights, all of which I found to work relatively well with the jeans more or less.

Ropers

I've never been a big fan of pairing slim jeans with wide toe boots and short tops but I think these Ariat Benchmade Clanton boots looked okay here if I had to do it in a pinch.

U Toe Boots

The Hondo 2670 was a great pairing with these jeans thanks to the tall fourteen inch tops. This might be my favorite pairing of the eight boots I tried.

R Toe Boots

Narrow tops are almost always vital when trying to get cowboy boots to work with slim fit jeans. These J.W. Signature Line Ithaca Boots feature just that and the sleek nature of the boot works great with these jeans.

J Toe Boots

Here's another pair of boots with a narrow top making it work with a slim fit jean! These are my limited edition collaboration boot with BNV Boots which are no longer available but you can contact BNV Boots and special order a similar pair.

Snip Toe Boots

Pointed toe shapes look great with slim fit jeans and this Cowtown ostrich boot keeps the look streamlined and clean. The tops are a bit wider here but the jeans seem to be working with it fine.

Cutter Toe Boots

This is one of the most popular toe shapes these days but often times cutter toe boots come with wider tops which make them difficult to fit under slim jeans. These Top Hand Horse Power boots are definitely printing but it could also be worse.

French Toe Boots

Darker jeans are ready for dressy events and this french toe from Boulet is a dressy style. Thankfully these two are working well here and ready for a night on the town.

Wide Square Toe Boots

As with the ropers, I'm not a huge fan of shorter boots with wide toes when paired with slim fit jeans. I think it looks a bit goofy but this isn't looking that bad and could work depending on your preferences.

What jeans should I do next??
