Live at Airy Acres Vineyard: Folk Music and Finger Lakes Views

Live at Airy Acres Vineyard: Folk Music and Finger Lakes Views

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be performing at Airy Acres Vineyard in Interlaken, NY on Saturday, September 6th, at 2:30 PM!

If you’ve followed my music, you know how much I love playing shows that connect deeply with their surroundings. The people, the land, and the stories they inspire. Airy Acres is exactly that kind of place. It’s one of those hidden gems in the Finger Lakes where you can sip incredible wine, soak in stunning views, and lose yourself in the rhythm of the day.

Playing my folk songs there feels like the perfect match.

Nestled along the western shores of Cayuga Lake, Airy Acres Vineyard is more than just a winery. It’s an experience. The vineyard is perched on a ridge, which means you get breathtaking, panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding countryside. It’s the kind of place where you can feel the peace of the Finger Lakes wash over you as soon as you step out of your car.

What makes Airy Acres special is its balance between rustic charm and modern creativity. The family-owned vineyard takes pride in producing wines that highlight the region’s unique terroir, and you can taste that dedication in every pour. Whether you’re into crisp, refreshing whites or bold, full-bodied reds, there’s always something on the tasting list that surprises and delights.

And beyond the wine, Airy Acres just has this incredible vibe. There’s a sense of space here. Open skies, fresh air, and a slower pace that invites you to pause, breathe, and take it all in.

When you arrive, you'll probably meet Noah who is the winemaker and works the tasting room with his wife and sister. Noah's grandfather was a pilot and the property where Airy Acres is now used to have an airplane runway. Hence the name, Airy Acres!

Not only that, the tasting room was the home of his grandparents which they just recently redesigned so the whole property and vineyard has a sense of family and you feel that on the patio and in the wine. You can see the transformation in the boot review video I made of moc toe Double H Boots!

Why I’m Excited to Play at Airy Acres Vineyard

I’ve played a lot of shows around the Finger Lakes, and each venue has its own personality. Some lean casual, some intimate, some wild and rowdy. Airy Acres feels like the perfect blend of relaxation and energy. It’s the kind of place where you can sip a glass of wine under the sun, watch the light change over the lake, and still tap your boots along to the music without missing a beat.

For me, music is about connection. I write songs to share stories. Sometimes my own stories and sometimes borrowed from the folks I meet along the way and I want those songs to feel like conversations. Airy Acres creates the perfect backdrop for that kind of interaction.

I imagine folks gathered around on the lawn or the patio, maybe with a flight of wine in front of them, letting the music carry them somewhere new. There’s something intimate about playing in a vineyard: the vines stretching out behind you, the breeze rolling off the lake, and the audience leaning in, glass in hand, as the lyrics unfold.

My Music and the Finger Lakes

If this is your first time hearing about me, my name is Jeremiah Craig, and I’m a folk singer-songwriter, balladeer, and storyteller. My songs are heavily inspired by Americana traditions, the dusty trails, the wild hearts, and the timeless stories of the American frontier, but they’re also rooted in the here and now.

Since moving to Ithaca, I’ve fallen in love with the Finger Lakes and its incredible blend of natural beauty, local culture, and creative energy. The region is overflowing with artists, makers, and dreamers, and I try to reflect that spirit in my music. Playing shows like this gives me a chance to not only share my songs but also celebrate the community that makes this place so unique.

Some of my songs come straight from the road, carrying bits of history and folklore, while others are inspired by personal moments like the cracked leather of old boots, the slow unraveling of change, the sparks of resilience we find in unexpected places. Playing these songs in a venue surrounded by vines, where the wine itself carries a story of soil, sun, and seasons, just feels right.

The Perfect Pairing: Wine, Vines, and Folk Music

There’s something almost poetic about pairing folk music with a place like Airy Acres Vineyard. Wine, after all, is about time, patience, and storytelling. Every bottle represents the work of an entire season, the rhythm of the land, and the choices of the winemakers. Folk music works the same way. It’s about distilling experiences, weaving them into something you can savor, and sharing them with others.

I like to think of a good show at a vineyard as a conversation between the senses. The taste of the wine, the sound of the guitar, the view of the lake, the warmth of the sun. It all blends together into a single memory. That’s what I hope this performance creates: a moment where everything slows down just enough for folks to fully take it in.

What to Expect on September 6th

I’ll be taking the stage at 2:30 PM, and I’ll be playing a mix of original songs and a few covers that have shaped my own musical journey. There might be some storytelling between songs, a few boot-stomping rhythms, and some quieter ballads to balance it out.

For anyone curious about cowboy boots (which I talk about a lot on my YouTube channel), I might even weave in a few stories about the history, craftsmanship, and personal meaning behind them. Boots and wine pair surprisingly well... it’s all about finding the right fit and savoring the journey.

Whether you’re a longtime listener or just stumbling upon my music for the first time, this show is for you. Bring your friends, your curiosity, and maybe your favorite boots if you’ve got them.
