About Bisbee

Bisbee lies about 10 miles from the Mexico border in Cochise County (the fine county where most of the grapes are grown that make Arizona wines). The small city is mostly known for their history of copper mining as well as gold and silver but there were also a number of beautiful minerals discovered.

I visited the Bisbee museum during last year’s festival and there were a ton of incredible looking mineral specimens.

Bisbee is now more of a community focused on arts than on the mining practices of the past even though the history of mining remains an important piece of Bisbee’s past and current culture. Almost every street in the small city has multiple art studios where artists work and are open to the public with many of their pieces for sale.

Learn more about what to do in Bisbee at DiscoverBisbee.com and CityOfBisbee.com.

I hope to see you down in Bisbee this weekend and if you’re not able to go, I’m going to try to get as much video and audio as I can to share in the following weeks.

Off to Bisbee!
